Lord Jesus Christ, while he was among the living, chose 12 Disciples to spread his teachings throughout the world. These are the twelve he chose; Simon Peter, James and his brother John, the sons of Zebedee, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Mathew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Patriot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus.
Those Disciples were named as “Apostles” by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. This is what is mentioned in the Holy Scriptures about it. “He chose twelve, whom he named Apostles” (Mark 3/14)
Lord Jesus Christ, after he ascended into Heaven, appeared in the city of Damascas, in Syria, and chose Paul, as an Apostle. Paul became an Apostle because he was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Therefore, he was the 13th Apostle of Christ, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Apostle Paul also became the 1st Apostle, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ himself, by appearing in this world, after his ascension.
Lord Jesus Christ has Once Again, appeared in this world, in this era where we are living, and has chosen an Apostle. We have to especially mention here that this Holy Apostle, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, is still living in this world. When he appeared for this occasion, he appeared in the city of Katunayake, in Sri Lanka. The person, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ, is the Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso. His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso became an Apostle because he was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, on his own discretion. Therefore, Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, is the 14th Apostle of Christ, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso also became the 2nd Apostle, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, by appearing in this world, after he ascended into Heaven.
So far, Apostolic Lineage has 14 Apostles. Out of them, Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, is the 14th Apostle of Lord Jesus Christ. He became the 2nd Apostle, who was chosen by Lord Jesus Christ Himself, by appearing in this world and he is the Only Apostle, who is presently living in this world. Therefore, devotees reverently, participate in the Holy Masses which this living Apostle offers.
Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, offered the Holy Mass, in the evening of Saturday 9th March 2013, in Sts. Peter and Paul garden of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. On that day, devotees and pilgrims reverently, participated in this Holy Mass which he offered. Holy Apostle, His Holiness Rohan Lalith Aponso, the Only Apostle, who is presently living in this world, was chosen and appointed, not by any human being in this world, but by Lord Jesus Christ, the Almighty God, who created this world and who is safeguarding this world. Therefore, devotees consider participating in the Holy Masses, which this living Apostle offers, is an abundant blessing for them.
